CULTIVATE typically holds large, one-day events to introduce the community to emerging and established artists and makers in the city. In 2020, we pivoted to offer a physically distant, spaced-out shopping option with a retail pop-up at the MSA Annex that lasted 6 weeks during the holiday season rather than just one day. This provided an income opportunity for 50+ vendors in a season when many in-person events and markets had been canceled.
